Check in and check out process was all self service, which was convenient but also felt like the customer service/initial impressions were a bit lacking. Staff were friendly enough but that's about it. The room was definitely on the smaller side especially at our price point but the room itself was clean and felt premium enough. The one good thing is that it is only a few blocks from the Kyoto station so it was convenient to walk around in any direction and have something to do or go somewhere to eat in Kyoto.

This is right by Kyoto station. Very convenient. The room is smaller than the one we had in Osaka, but ok for a family of 4. The breakfast is very limited. Basically tofu variations and egg. Western options is limited pastries. As another patron said, it was "very underwhelming. "

Comfortable spacious rooms and good location

Great hotel close to the station with extremely spacious rooms (hard to find for this price point usually!). Definitely recommend for Kyoto.

Spacious, clean, tidy room. Close to Kyoto station so easy transportation. 7-11 downstairs very convenient for getting snacks. Very recommended.

Expedia.ca app. The listing for the property indicated that “breakfast is included,” which reasonably led me to believe that breakfast would be provided for all guests in my party, including children under 12. However, upon check-in, I was informed by the hotel staff that breakfast is only complimentary for two adult guests, and that an additional fee would be charged for children. At reception, the staff insisted this was “hotel policy” and demanded we pay 1,980 yen per child, per day. That added up to 7,920 yen per day for our group, and for 2 nights that’s 15,840 yen extra! This was never clearly stated in the booking details on your app. Had this information been transparent, I would have reconsidered my choice of accommodation entirely.
