New and well designed however the room size is small, typical budget room size in Japan. Breakfast is quite basic in Japanese style. From your room TV you can find stays of coin laundry which is handy.

This is a first class hotel, a block south of the Kyoto rail station. My adult son and I stayed for two nights in January. We had each visited Kyoto previously and we decided to take the full-day bus tour which departs from a location just south of the rail station, about two blocks from our hotel to see again some famous sites. On our second day in Kyoto we decided to visit the Kyoto train museum, which was a twenty-five minute walk on a pleasant day and well worth the time we spent there. The museum is beside the rail line, one stop west of the main Kyoto station, and we took a train to return to the hotel. We needed little direct assistance from the hotel staff, but staff members were always available at the reception area. The beds were firm and comfortable and the rooms were very quiet.
