One of the highlights of Poland, Krakow was fortunately left almost untouched during the Second World War and the spectacular architecture and charm can still be enjoyed today. We offer a host of Krakow hotels to allow you to soak up the best of this culturally loaded city.
The best place to enjoy the abundance of Gothic and Renaissance architecture is the old town. This area was announced as one of the very first UNESCO World Heritage sites due to its incredible cultural and historical importance. Following the route carved by the Royal Road will lead you to some of the main sights including the Krakow Barbican and the spectacular Wawel Castle. The Royal Road is titled as such because Polish royalty would follow the route on the way to coronation at the castle. Wawel carries with it centuries of history and it's fair to say that this isn't just a must see attraction in Krakow but probably the must see attraction in the whole of Poland. The old town is also ringed by a tranquil green belt known as Planty Gardens and a stroll around these makes for a nice retreat from the busier tourist areas.
You might not have thought it but the old town is also surprisingly home to some of the very best nightlife in the city too. Exploring down the numerous alleys and courtyards will inevitably lead you to an interesting drinking hole and despite the location these are often tourist free and full of locals. However if you fancy exploring further afield the old Jewish district of Kazimierz is emerging as a strong contender for trendy and arty nightlife. Wherever you choose to explore we have hotels in Krakow located around the city.
If you wake up in your Krakow hotel with a sore head from the night before an interesting and easygoing way to spend an afternoon is in the Museum of Pharmacy. Probably the best of its kind, the museum is full to the brim with all manner of antique pharmaceutical goods and displays.
