Good location. In terms of value for money - the service at the lobby level - front desk and refreshment areas were very sub par. Long waits, not enough staff. Hotel management needs to ensure customers are better cared for in this aspect of check-in, check-out and lobby related activities including getting tea at the cafe area. The hotel made our stay very special. We were greeted with a surprise for our honeymoon, which was fantastic. They also left another surprise for a birthday later in the week. The area is safe and conveniently close to the MTR, as well as many attractions and dining options. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay here again in the future!

This is a very nice hotel. Check-in and check-out were both a hassle. At 17.00 my room wasn't ready and although I was given a free drink from the bar, it was for non-alcoholic drinks - given my long travel, I wanted a beer. The check-out line was extremely long and had to wait in line so long I got nervous about missing my flight. The check-in process is really cumbersome and the hotel should consider some way to segregate check-out. There was very few staff at the lobby area bar / sitting area making even getting a cup of tea a long tedious process. For the price of the rooms, I expected better. It was very clean.

Top notch in every way

The staff at Shanghai-La went over and above to help us book our ferry tickets to Shekou, China. The breakfast buffet was fantastic! And at our dinner with guests at Shang Palace we highly enjoyed the delicious, creative cuisine and top notch service. Thank you!

Totally run down property and very old rooms. No proper phone charging stations and the Hotel refused to give points for my Shangri-La account saying it is not possible as it was booked thru Expedia
