Overall, I was fairly happy with my stay at Barkod Hotel. The accommodations are very basic, but the room and bed were comfortable, the heat worked, the shower was hot and the location was excellent. I think the experience matches the affordable price of this hotel. Biggest issue is that it's in a nightlife area, so there was quite a bit of street noise until about 2am, but the hotel itself was quiet and sleeping was manageable with earplugs.

My room was clean and my stay short so I never opted for cleaning services but the location was the true gem. In the heart of Besiktas the nightlife matches your energy with ample options from food to drinks or coffees and small businesses with fresh food stands and grocery store close bye.

It’s cheap for a reason. Good sized rooms but the pictures are misleading. A very superficial attempt to make things look modern, but many parts of the room were poorly finished, with sheets that didn’t fit the bed, sealant all ripped out of bathroom and grout everywhere. Staff just gave key and didn’t acknowledge us from then until we left.
