Honestly the helpful staff were the best part of our stay. We were only there one night (which happened to be the night of the week the restaurant was closed), and were assigned the room right next to the breakfast area. Had the bed been closer to the door I would have asked to be reassigned. The mini fridge, microwave and sink area were all outdated and yellowed by age. Same for the bathroom, with a tub from the 70’s I think. Given the overwhelmingly positive reviews I read online, I was expecting much more from our experience. The hotel is literally 5 miles in any direction from any restaurant or shop, and the microwaveable meals available for purchase at the front desk were so disappointing. I don’t know about the hype…didn’t pan out for us. The staff were friendly and as helpful as possible, a definite plus.

Housekeeping staff were very friendly and the morning team at the front desk as well. Breakfast had a solid variety though it would be nice if the coffee was stronger. I had a pleasant stay overall.

I just love staying here whenever I’m in the area. The staff are warm and friendly, rooms spacious and comfortable. The fireplace in my room was a lovely touch, but the remote didn’t work, so I couldn’t adjust anything. I spent a long time in the pool area and hot tub instead. Next time, I’ll plan ahead and try a spa service!
