Beautiful historical hotel. Very comfortable room and quiet. Dinner at hotel was excellent. Gardens around had humming birds in morning - sat and drank coffee and enjoyed. I would love to stay here again.

A piece of railroad history

Beautifully restored original Harvey House. Excellent vintage restaurant within the hotel. Excellent historic preservation with modern amenities.

The hotel is historic. And it's awesome. For anybody interested in Route 66, railroad travel, settling of the West, this is a gem not to be missed. And from the hotel, you can walk to the corner in Winslow dedicated to the Eagles song Take It Easy, with life-size statues, a flatbed truck, and, of course, souvenir shops. The downside-- the hotel restaurant was a disappointment. The food quality was lacking, and the wait for food was way too long. Apparently the restaurant is somewhat of a separate operation that went through an unexpected management change, so that could be the reason for its issues.

Great for a get away.

La Posada is a lovely oasis in high desert of Northern Arizona. I loved just lounging in one of the many gardens and sitting areas. Watching the trains go by on one side of the property, or sitting and reading in secluded gardens. Dining at The Turquoise Room continues to be a great treat - especially the stuffed squash blossoms and the signature soup!

I loved the antiques throughout the property. It was fascinating to watch the trains. My room was large with fun decor and furniture, a comfortable bed and shower. We had 2 rooms. The other had a pet smell we couldn’t diminish even with a portable air.freshener. It spoiled the stay. Changing rooms wasn’t an option. It was disappointing both times we ate at the restaurant. The service was poor. The food choices were limited. I ordered the house made cinnamon roll and it was hard. The room was huge with few people. It felt uncomfortable.

Characterful hotel with excellent service

Such a delight. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The Turquoise Room staff is so enthusiastic and welcoming without being pushy or fake. The rooms are comfortable, full of unique and thoughtful touches, and in good shape. La Posada has been on our list for a while and it doesn’t disappoint. A truly welcome antidote to the current corporate crop of grey hotels serving flatbread pizzas
