The best budget accommodation we've experienced in New Zealand. Very comfortable, toasty warm room with an ensuite. Super handy to everything at Hanmer. Pleasant staff. Will defo go back again.

Very happy with room and kitchen facilities. Both were clean and had all that we needed. A quiet and central location, perfectly met our expectations

We liked the way the staff greeted us, that everything in the kitchen was labeled with instructions set out so we knew how to use the facility. Just one small negative was that we couldn’t reach the bathroom louvre window to close it and this made the shower area very cold. Otherwise loved it

Thanks you for your review and kind words. There is long bit of wood with a little hook at the end that operates the louvre windows in both the toilet and the shower areas. We hope to see you again sometime!

The staff were friendly. The building is creaky due to its age. Bedding clean and fresh. Great location in town.

Thanks for taking the time to review and your kind words. The building is made entirely of interlocking wood, which beside from giving it a great ambience also makes it prone to the occasional creaks.

Overnight stay while travelling solo

Pros: Ability to organise a late check in.
My night stay was organised for the end of a 1200km motorcycle ride. Organising a late book in was easy and bed was really comfy. Perfect place for a solo stay.

Comfy and close to everything.

We had a very pleasant stay overnight. Friendly staff and comfortable, clean accommodation. Will stay there again.
