We heard so much about this property and were overwhelmed by it's beauty, tranquility and overall experience. We dined in our kimonos in our room with lovely service and food. My daughter had a massage and I had a facial while we were there and they were outstanding. It's very close to be transported to the volcanic valley which was an extra treat.

Magical and exquisite. We’ve stayed in several places throughout Japan, but if you’re looking for a truly one-of-a-kind, unforgettable experience, this is it. From the moment you arrive, you’re transported back in time, immersed in the beauty and traditions of historic Japan. The onsen experience is exceptional, the setting is breathtaking, and every detail is thoughtfully curated to create an authentic and memorable stay. If you want more than just a hotel—if you want an experience you’ll remember long after your trip—this place is simply extraordinary.
