Loved the area and being close to the rim… however we had no hand soap and no shower gel and no liners in the trash cans. Called the front desk twice and they never answered. I believe they r short staffed as they were very busy anytime we were in the lobby. May need more staff to meet the needs of the guest. I also called about an item we thought we left behind and stayed on hold 19 minutes with three different people picking up asking could they help us. With the exception of one gentleman at the desk the other two were short with us. Maybe overwhelmed it seemed. Beds were very comfortable and pillows as well.

We staied here 11 years ago in deep snow before they remodeled whole lodge. Our memories was dark cold and old place, not even have restaurants (called restaurant but it was like a warehouse, a whole dining area with a few round table)... This place has changed sooooooooo much better, just like a resort stay. Its incredible changes they have made. Receptionist was upbeat and friendly, welcomed us with big smile 😀 and few suggestions he gave us was wonderful. We came all the way from Tokyo Japan, and really had a great time and create unforgettable memories staying at Yavapai Lodge. Thank you. And we'll be back. Definitely.

The room smelled like mold and was very outdated. It was also so dirty. I asked for a different room but the new room was just as bad! Also you have to walk a half mile from the car to your room. No microwave. Food is very over priced and gross. Will never go back there.

Not worth the cost.

Check in is in a separate building. We found it inconvenient on multiple levels. We were assigned a second story dorm type building with no elevator. Just not what I was expecting for the price. Camping at this location, which I’ve done twice is much nicer.

Ok for a night or two - but very dated

The rooms were adequate although a little dated. Really wasn’t impressed with the food that was available at the lodge though, very poor quality. Also not happy that there was no water available in the vending machine in the block where we were staying.
