Accommodation and location of the lodge was excellent as were the dining options and environment. The only downside was no wifi available in the room. Wifi was available at the lodge main building however.

Great place to stay in the Canyon! We arrived late afternoon around 4.30pm and had no queue to enter the park. Easy to park outside the block and to then drive to the visitors centre for the buses or to drive to viewpoints. Room was comfy and clean and had a lovely forest view. The air con unit was effective as it was very warm, but it was quite noisy. The store in the Yavapai village was good value and had a great range of items, it was cheaper than the Spa in Williams. Sunset at Mather point was easy to access with good views but the best was sunrise at Grand Viewpoint. This was c10 miles drive along Desert View Road. It was well worth the 4.30am alarm. Early trip to Yavapai view point around 9am was super quiet and lovely too. Overall an amazing stay

Great Location inside the park

Great location inside the park. Shuttle bus stops near the property, making for easy travel around the park without a car. The property is right next to Market Plaza, where there are a couple of dining options as well as a small supermarket. Rooms are pretty outdated but clean, and having two adults and a high schooler in the two-queen room was cozy. The West rooms open to the outside, so one can sit outside the front door and enjoy the forest, and we were treated to an elk right outside the front door one morning.

We had everything we needed except a spectacular view. I didn't realize the AC was set to Auto until I was leaving. Having the AC cycle on and off was disturbing. We had a wonderful time while visiting the area.

The only reason why I rate this a little lower was because the lighting in the bathroom was a little dark. Temperature in the room upon arrival was pretty warm and it took quite a while for the AC to cool it down. But otherwise, we loved the price and the location couldn’t be beat!

Just a few problems. The door wouldn’t lock properly. The tub filled to your ankles while you showered and sun comes through the small window on the back wall early in the morning. No window cover.

Comfortable stay super close to the rim

Yavapai Lodge was perfect for 3 friends travelling together to the Grand Canyon. Comfortable, clean, with coffee pods and a fridge to boot. Short 5min walk to the Village Market and to the buses and a short drive or 20 min walk to the rim. No frills but didn’t miss anything as we were out exploring most of each day. Would highly recommend and would happily stay again!
