Dining did not have the best options. The hallway to the room had a nasty smell. The room didn’t have a remote for the TV, so I had to call and have someone bring a new one. Then I had to read the instructions and set it up. On the bright side, the bed was great, and they had hot water. It is really dark everywhere. Bring a flashlight for walking to the lodge.

Check-in was quick and staff was super nice. Disappointed that there was not a microwave in the room but didnt think to check that on room details. Room was very clean. Proximity to shuttles was great. Dinner was good there too.

The property is older but has been updated. Very quiet and peaceful. It’s a very short drive to the Visitor Center and Mather Viewing Point. The breakfast in the lodge was overpriced for what we got. That was the only downfall of the property. The gentleman in the lodge gift shop was very nice and informative. He was great to talk to!

Stayed in the older Yavapai West group this time and it was cozy with a nice view of the woods. Small, very clean room at a great price with parking right outside the door. Used the self check in kiosk which was great - fast and efficient. Great overnight option for climbers or backpackers. Could use a little more bathroom counter room for a few things (minor point). TV reception not good (like last time) but wasn't there to watch TV.
