The staff is very friendly and helpful. This La Quinta is laid out perfectly for traveling with pets. I’m staying in a room that opens into a small enclosed courtyard where I can open the door and let my pet run in a safe, clean, enclosed area. I never expected traveling with a pet would be so accommodating.

It was bad from check in which took at least 40 minutes. I had booked a pet free room on the top floor and they had us on the 1st floor with all the pets and the new girl did not know how to move us to another room. When we finally got a room on the top floor it was boiling hot in that particular room, opening the window and turning on the air did nothing to cool it over our 2 night stay. The hotel is seriously dated. The furniture needs to be replaced, the stools in the breakfast area are dangerous, the legs feel like they will give way, someone is going to get hurt. The lobby at breakfast time is packed, nowhere for people to sit.The breakfast offerings were not good and the napkins were cut in half! We have stayed in La Quinta in Paso Robles and San Luis and there is no comparison, those are beautiful, modern, updated hotels that we love going back to. We would never stay at this La Quinta in Flagstaff again. It needs serious updating from the decor to the furnishings (inside and out), ,to the fireplace that didn't, work. The elevators also took forever. The chocolate chip cookies were good but that was it. Not a good experience.
