Clean and comfortable room with well-maintained common areas. We loved the breakfast—abundant variety and promptly replenished by polite staff. The front desk was friendly and attentive, especially Sandy during the day and the night clerk. Great pre-cruise stay and would stay longer next time when returning to Fort Lauderdale.

This hotel was very clean and kept up well. You could tell that it had been remodeled, but the paint and flooring and all of those things were well-maintained, which helped to feel clean and safe. Beds were clean and comfortable. Bathrooms were well-maintained. (Though very little water pressure.). Staff was helpful. The beds were small so I did ask if they could provide a rollaway bed which they did very quickly so that was good. One thing, however, is that the rollaway bed mattress was so old and pilly and looked pretty questionable. I think that needs to be changed out! :-)

The room was clean and in good condition and the staff was helpful. However, I was unable to use the room telephone to schedule a wake-up call or call the front desk as there was no hotel directory on the phone or elsewhere. I used my cell phone to call the hotel but got reservations, who said she would transfer me. However, after a long wait, I got a different reservations person who said she would transfer me to the front desk, but after a very long wait I hung up and went to the front desk (in a separate building) where I was told the hotel phones weren't working. Because the phones weren't working, I was told someone would knock on our door at 7:00 a.m. No one knocked. Had my wife been up early, this might have been a problem since we had a flight to catch. We did not have a good night's rest since there was a police presence around and in the building that I saw when I went to the front desk at about 8:00 p.m. About 11:00 p.m., two police who were heavily armed like swat team members said that in about 1/2 hour we would hear a loud bang above us and that we could leave and come back. I said we would stay as we had to get up early. At about 2:00 a.m. the fire alarm went off and stayed on for some time before being stopped. We were ready to leave the building if it were on fire. We then when back to bed but the alarm went off again two separate times. My wife was/is very unhappy about the stay as she was unable to sleep much the rest of the night.
