Loved the hotel itself. The room was big and nicely decorated. Nice big window one looking the beach. The bed was really comfortable and you could walk to lots of places. The bathroom was nice and big, HOWEVER this is my only complaint and negative comment about the hotel…..there was mould in the bathroom shower all over the ceiling. The grout was filthy and could have also been mould it was hard to tell. Also half of the grout was gone, cracked off

Amazing vacation Sonesta Fort Lauderdale beach was a very clean hotel with an amazing great restaurant attached. Heated out door pool and across the street was a beautiful beach with beach chairs for hotel guests. We are booked again to go back in November!

Nice hotel not as good location

The hotel is very nice although quite a good walk to the bars and restaurants- the resort fee and valet are also very high and to be fair you don’t get a lot for the resort fee. Probably would not stop here again due to location and high extra costs.

The Sonesta was a great choice after looking at a lot of properties in the area. Very quiet area of the beach even during spring break. Loved the beach across the street and the fact that there were nice chair and could rent an umbrella. The gentlemen working there were so lovely - Arturo went out of his way when I misplaced my credit card. He had lots of recos for food too! Short uber to Los Olas and could walk to the Galleria mall. The hotel is a really nice size - we had a great ocean view with big windows. Rooms were very clean and well furnished. No noise in the hallways at all. The staff were great and very accommodating - we got early check in. Nice restaurant with lots of options. The pool area isnt huge but was never overcrowed and has a great set up for shade or sun and a bar area. My daughter and I felt very safe and often there was security on site. Everyone was warm and friendly. Perfect for a 5 day stay- we didnt want to leave!

Beautiful property right across the street from the beach. Staff were unfriendly and unwilling to compromise on check in time of 4:00pm. Air conditioning in room did not work. Not happy with this place.

What I didn’t like: Front desk staff unwelcoming and bland, except Cylina Forker. She was polite and nice. The men outside especially JP were extremely accommodating. The wait staff as well were nice in the restroom. Housekeeping inattentive. No new cups. Didn’t change obviously dirty bed comforter. Didn’t clean bathroom or refill body wash container. Didn’t refill tissue container. I’ve been a Sonesta member since 2019 but WILL NOT stay here again. Too many choices.

Loved that we could walk across the street to the beach and have beach chairs for us. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and the view was nice.

My experience at the Sonesta was so good I didn’t want to leave. The customer service was exceptional. Clean property and very convenient for the beach.

Check in took a long time. We arrived early and told our room would be expedited and we would be called. No call and when we arrived back at 4 checkin was a nightmare with huge lines. The person for our line was extremely slow compared to others. Told our room wasn’t ready at 4:20 which was awful given we were told earlier it would be expedited. A co worker came over and found us a room that was available. Parking $55 plus tax daily. Totally outrageous. Will never stay again. 20 percent service fee added to bills and not disclosed. Good thing we heard someone else complain about it. No nice lounge/bar or entertainment. Other local hotels have better options.

Margot and the staff were welcoming and helpful. Had a wonderful stay here. The only thing wrong was on Expedia's end (who I booked through). The dates I selected were Friday and Saturday, but in reality the only date I paid for was Friday....and it was $100 more than booking through the hotel, which I had to do since I needed one more night. I will definitely stay at the Sonesta again, but will not use Expedia to get there.
