The Encinitan is conveniently located just off I-5 and Moonlight Beach in Encinitas, CA. My room was large, the bed was comfortable, and the wifi was fast. I enjoyed walks on the beach. The pool and jacuzzi were a nice touch. Breakfast was about average.

The room was fine. However, when we got back to the room about 10pm from dinner with friends we discovered the TV didn't work. Not wanting to deal with a maintenance person late at night we resigned ourselves to watching a movie on our phone.

the hotel in general is dated and it shows. the staff is great and the location is fantastic, but the doors don't seal and noise from the outdoors (particularly the train nearby) comes right thru the doors.

The property had some matincece around ground floors. The balcony view was beautiful. The room was nice the water from the shower dripped past the glass door and got all over the floor. The breakfast was good and did have a good variety.
