The property was of a good quality, with good transport and restaurants near by, unfortunately we had a false fire alarm around 19:30 pm we all evacuated the building and the information given by the staff was unclear

The hotel facilities were spot on in all aspects. The reception staff friendly and really helpful. My room,although a little on the small side,was comfy and quiet. I would gladly stay there again.

The rooms need to be cleaned and specially the restroom. Also, there were problems with the plumbing system so maintenance had to be called constantly. Also, during the middle of the night alarms were off for no reason. Scary to wake up in the middle of the night thinking something is happening.

Was more or less what we expected: a couple affordable nights in Edinburgh in which we just needed a place to crash, with emphasis on location and transit links to the airport. PROS: friendly and responsive staff at every turn. Location. Haymarket stop for bus, tram, train. Comfortable bed. Good free coffee provided at reception. CONS: dirty bathroom, esp. the shower; shower was clogged and would not drain so we had to have maintenance come. NOISE. Construction work in courtyard began, no joke, at 06:00 on a Sunday! There was a weird, loud, erratic hum through the building all night--not any kind of usual heating/cooling system. No idea, but it was maddening.

Unfortunately, I had to check out a day early for a family emergency and I found amazing support from the reception staff. Rania and her colleague (didn’t catch his name) helped me quickly and efficiently book an emergency flight to London and made me feel not alone in a very stressful - life and death - situation. This was not part of their “job description” but they were so kind and helpful. I will not forget their kindness. Thank you.

Clean room, attentive housekeeping. Comfortable bed, Adequate size bathroom. TV, heat/AC, hotel internet all worked fine. Hotel desk staff friendly, courteous, helpful. Numerous restaurants/pubs, small food markets within walking distance. Excellent city bus system, teams and trains all 1-3 min walk from hotel front door. Easy to get from hotel to most points in and around Edinburgh.

Everything was perfect. I mean, you do get what u pay for but it was a wonderful accommodation. The shower was definitely slightly clogged, I think that’s the only downside. Very easy to walk to a bunch of spots in town and the station is right in front if u want to take trams and buses. Wonderful stay, will probably look to stay again.

You are unable to control the temperature of your room by using the wall thermometer. The only way I was able to make adjustments to my air conditioning was by calling the front desk each time — resulting in me having to reach out in the middle of the night whenever the unit would stop running for some reason and reset to a warmer temperature. There was also no hot water available on my first day of the stay.
