it was okay . we have always stayed there because of the good rates and that we could leave the car at a good price, but they have raised the car park rate so we can leave the car at park & ride stay at a better hotel now for the same price. sorry to say we will not be staying at Crystal Star any more

We mostly enjoyed our recent stay. Our third floor room was large and well equipped. We really appreciated the fireplace as the heat source - returning from a tropical vacation to chilly temperatures it was great to be able to sit in front of the fireplace and warm up. The beds and bedding were comfortable and clean. The floor could have used a good vacuuming. Coffee supplies were good. The only issue we had was not being notified sooner about an incident in the hotel early that morning. By the time we were told about the incident we were ready to checkout . I had a sore throat from coughing and sneezing for more than an hour. This hotel is a great option when flying in and out of Edmonton. We stayed one night before our vacation, used the free shuttle to and from the airport to stay on our return - it was easy to find the shuttle and it's a quick ride to the hotel. We will definitely return in the future.

The price of the room is great, the room was very spacious and comfortable with the 2 queen beds. The breakfast was very good with a variety food to choose from. I will definitely stay here again when I have a function in the city or catching a plane.

Clean and a decent place. Was used to other hotels where they had outlets and charges near the night stand but made do. Also like hotels that have shampoo, soap and water in dispensers in the shower but again was manageable. No selection of pillows but Price was right. Not sure paying an additional 40/50$ per night at other hotels for a one night stay is worth it. It was clean and quiet and the bed was comfortable for the price. Would likely stay here again

The older male receptionist was extremely rude. When I reported that only one of the three lights in my room was working, he told me to either accept the room as is or leave and receive a refund. Since it was already late in the evening and I had no other accommodation options, I asked if he could at least provide some light bulbs so I could fix the issue myself. He initially claimed there were none available, but I insisted that he check in the back. Eventually, he found several bulbs in stock. I ended up installing them myself, as there were no other staff available to assist.

I booked 2 rooms, 1 room the T V only had 1 channel.. The other room the toilet sounded like a jet plane taking off. The breakfast area , every table was dirty. It got really busy at around 9 am ran out of coffee.
