I would return!

Check in was easy, everyone was helpful & friendly upon arrival & there are good options at the bar/restaurant downstairs. Floor to ceiling to windows are a nice view. The location is very convenient & walkable to most of the area.

Clean and very comfortable. Stayed in a king-size bed suite. It was so spacious with plenty of storage. I would absolutely stay there if I need to stay for an extended time.

TV choices awful.

My only complaint(s)..it was a bit pricey...but the TV channel selection is insane...You can't get just a schedule of network channels and choose from that. It's almost all subscription streaming choices. Sucks.

This property has improved greatly since our last stay in 2017 with all of the renovations and new ownership. Generally had a better feeling of safety. Very clean and mostly comfortable rooms. GREAT view of the river for us and the big ships we came to see. Even the computer desk felt like a luxury. As far as dislikes or concerns, the bathroom was VERY small and fitting in was not comfortable (I weigh 180lbs, so not massive). Shower was difficult to move around in. A/C was stuck on cold, thermostat temp was set to a mild 76 degrees, but maintained a not-so comfortable 65 degrees. My wife loved it, so happy wife equals happy ... you get the idea. Nobody greeted us at the Top of the Pontch restaurant, so we left and found other choices. Not sure why as people were eating inside, just no staff at podium where the sign indicated to wait for seating. The pricing (available on menus at podium) is not for the faint of heart. The immediate Hotel area did not have a lot of dining options, but as you wander north on Woodward Ave., the options got better. Overall, we will visit Fort Pontchartrain Detroit again.

The hotel over all was ok during my stay. I didn’t like that I booked my room months in advance and when I got there I had to wait for them to call me and tell me when they had a room for me because one was not available at my check in at three so me and my daughters sat in the lobby watching other people check in and get rooms. Had to rush to get ready to not miss out five o’clock uber due to not getting in a room until almost 4. Also when I text about parking because I was placed I. Hold with no answer I was told that parking was $40 plus $20 more if parking after 2 which they knew I was parking after 2 considering check in was at three. So had to park in a lot not connected to the hotel.
