Disappointed
Directions were difficult to understand, follow google maps, not what host provides. Couldn’t walk in bare feet in the cabin. No extra blankets for the hide-a-bed, just a bottom sheet. Kitchen was well stocked, very clean. Woke up to no water pressure, host responded quickly but repair person was not available till the next day. We were unable to use the bathroom shower, no drinking water. Creek was barely a trickle.

Clean, Comfort, and Convenient
We enjoyed this cozy cabin with great access to parks, trails, Golden and the Denver area.while in the area for a concert at Fiddlers.
The cabin had all the necessities, was clean, and easily became ‘home’ away from home.
I would definitely stay here again.

Mountain Cabin
If you like the character of old buildings with basic modern comforts this place is for you. The cabin is both charming and comfortable with easy access to the city too. Couple that with the gurgling creek, wildflowers, birds and butterflies, and a deck that's perfectly positioned to watch the sunrise over the mountains and you almost couldn't ask for more. It is next to the highway so you can hear traffic but its still quieter than in town. The owner is very nice, was on site every day of our stay but unobtrusive, and very responsive to any issues.

We enjoyed the proximity to lots of family friendly activities. The cabin probably best works for 1-2 people but we had no issues. We liked the well equipped kitchen.

Clean, Rustic, Well-Supplied Little Shanty!
The "Lewis and Clark" themed cabin has pictures of them as well as Sacagawea adorning the wood paneled walls in the main sitting area as well as an old time water pump for the bathroom sink, several books about trapping and Native Americans (my husband loved these!), and old wooden chairs to resemble the early 1800's. The shower is new with plenty of hot water for my family (although the water pressure is not good), the bed linens and towels were fresh, but be sure to bring your own soap. We loved sitting out on the deck with the gas burning fire pit and a grill was supplied for a fun cookout. The kitchen is well supplied with a gas burning stove, small fridge, toaster oven, microwave and even a slow cooker. Plenty of pots and pans are supplied, but no microwave safe dish-ware. Unfortunately, the property has very cramped parking and is very close to the highway. (The traffic noise was a big downfall!) The creek was almost dried up and so overgrown with weeds, that we couldn't really see it. Overall the vacation home was cozy and comfortable. My daughters folded out the hide-a-bed in the main room and enjoyed the big screen TV with the Fire TV Stick that allowed them to watch many old time shows they enjoyed as kids!

Close to town
For a dog owner, there were parks within easy driving distance for walks. The unit is right along the 72, so there was a little traffic, but not bad. For a quick get away from home, it fit the bill.

A nice base for day trips
A rustic cabin that Rex (owner) is in the process of renovating bit by bit. Most important for us, the bed was comfortable and the sleeper sofa one of the most comfortable I've ever slept on. Location is close to the road so a little noisy, but not bad inside. Rex could not have been easier to work with.
