This is a very special house on a the beach in Capistrano Beach/Dana Point area with white water views that is right on the sand in a gate-guarded community. This beautiful house is a perfect beach rental option for an extended family or a group of friends to enjoy a perfect holiday. A person renting this home will enjoy both the Lower Level Villa and Beach Front Penthouse.

Run-of-the-Beach House Rental Offers Many Guest Accommodation Options

The lower level offers two spacious bedrooms with a California King bed in the primary suite, a queen bed in the second bedroom, and a queen sleeper sofa in the living area. It is right on the sand and is all on one level making it handicapped accessible. It has a fully-equipped kitchen with all the amenities needed to cook a special meal along with a beach front patio that has a Weber gas BBQ. Also a Luxury Hot Tub in the Ocean View Courtyard. In the two car garage is a 9’ pool table, ping pong table, shuffleboard game, and a large flat screen for your favorite show or game. If you are concerned about parking the double deep driveway and reserved parking directly across the street will easily accommodate the 6 allowed cars.

The upper level offers two spacious bedrooms with spacious closets in each. One bedroom has a California king bed while the other offers two full beds. In addition, the living area has a queen sleeper sofa. It also has a fully-equipped kitchen with all the amenities needed to cook a special meal along with a sundeck that has another set of patio furniture and a Weber gas BBQ.

Clearly the beach access from the house stands out. My family and my son’s family gathered in Dana Point. The other stand out was it was nice to have an additional residence upstairs with a complete kitchen. Finally, the hot tub was a huge hit with our family. We definitely would return. It is a great house with beautiful views and a nice hot tub. My sons went surfing and spent time on Capistrano beach. We took our toddler granddaughter to nearby Baby Beach with calm water and smooth sand at Dana Point. And there is also a playground close by, the Pines, with a scenic overlook.

Location

We chose California to be near family and beach and you can't get any closer to the beach! Plenty of space for the 8 of us. The Safari Park and Disney are within an hours drive, or explore Dana Point and San Clemente, or just hang out at the beach. The hot tub and bikes were an added bonus. Beach access is a little funky but doable, unless you have mobility issues. Overall a great stay.

location cannot be beat! Ocean front is amazing! Train track near back of house is as it as. One gets use to it. Free bike use and plenty body surf boards in house were amazing. Bililard and PingPong table in garage were fantastic! Older doors of house needs upgrade! Upstairs and downstairs kitchens were super helpful! Entrance to 2nd flr is from outside- do note. Not a problem. 4th bathroom is also outside entrance for surfers! Thank you, C, for providing cell for easy texting during stay! 5 stars!

The home is amazing, the location is great, and the manager Chris is amazingly responsive. The waves crash a few feet from the back of the house. The outdoor space is great, you'll never want to go inside. The game room also has plenty to keep all engaged. All arpund great stay.

Perfect beach house getaway!

Gorgeous location, incredible house loaded with everything you need. Gated community & fun ocean paved path to Dana point & San Clemente! Bonfire out back loaded with boards, toys etc Love that there are two kitchens upstairs and downstairs. No AC but lots of fans and cool ocean breeze. Getting to wake up to waves crashing was our favorite. The train goes by often but my babies didn’t wake up. When the tide is high you lose the beach but sandy bottom when you get out there fun waves to bodysurf and practice surfing. Loved this home!!!! We will be back !

If you have toddlers, you may want to consider another location as the drop off from the yard to the beach is several feet. Great view, but some issues

On the positive side, the house is absolutely on the beach and the view from the windows across the front of the house is gorgeous. Sitting outside on the lounge chairs or at the table with the ocean right next to you (and slightly below) was glorious. The owners have tried to make it really comfortable and it is well equipped - kitchen well stocked with all supplies - from spices to pans. Bikes were good and biking the paths lots of fun. Issues: Beachfront but no access to the beach - huge, sharp rocks and sandbags block the tide AND access. There are some empty lots up the street with access, but it is illegal to use them for access, although we did since it was the only way. The listing included tennis, which is very important to us. No tennis! We were there during a cold wave, and the bedroom/master bath do not have central heating. Very cold! TV in living room quite funky - owner did try to fix it. My husband and I consider it “minimalist” except for care and generosity of owners’ supplying it well.

Everything was wonderful. Great amenities- the outdoor photo should be updated due to the beach erosion- but the beach area is still nice and private. Nice gated community. Only comment- the upstairs is a completely separate apartment- no access from inside the main house. It worked for us- but a large rental group should know the separation. Also- heat upstairs did not work. Owner was very accommodating- great place.

Great stay at a great location

The house is absolutely lovely. We had a fantastic time there. The game room was a hit with the kids. There are real dishes and kitchen appliances for cooking (we prepared and ate our thanksgiving dinner there). The upstairs and downstairs can function as separate units which made it nice to have a refrigerator and kitchen both upstairs and downstairs. The hot tub is well maintained (a person actually comes by and takes care of it). They have sand toys, boogie boards, beach chairs, and beach towels to use for the beach. The beach right behind the house is only usable at low tide, but there is sand for playing in, Doheny is just down the street. We also ventured to a few other close by beaches that were excellent. We didn’t get a chance to light up the fire pit, I guess we’ll just have to come back. Loved it. Would definitely stay here again.

Great House But Exterior Pics Misleading

The house was great for my family and friends. It was well appointed, comfortable and clean. The kitchen was well stocked with dishware and pots and pans, the living area was comfortable with lots of seating around a cozy fireplace. However, the exterior photos in the listing for this property intentionally misrepresent the condition of the patio/beach area. The beach has gone through dramatic erosion over the past several years. Instead of a wide, spacious patio and lawn area that is depicted in the listing's photos, the patio is now much narrower with a sand area edged by a 6-8 foot cliff constructed of sand bags that has steep, uneven stairs made of sand bags that lead down to the beach. As a disabled person with limited mobility, when planning my vacation I was specifically looking for properties with easy-ish access to the beach. The exterior photos in the property listing led me to believe that was possible and it was the deciding factor when choosing this property. When I arrived and saw the patio area I contacted Chris about my concerns and he failed to respond at all to my message. As a result, although I enjoyed my vacation overall, I am left with the feeling that I was somehow taken advantage of - draw me in with beautiful photos of the exterior (obviously taken several years ago before the beach erosion) and then I arrive to find something completely different, and unsuitable for my needs.

The home is exactly like the pictures. Everything you could need and then some. From cooking spices, olive oil, plastic wrap, foil and zip lock bags, pots and pans etc to make meals oh and even laundry detergent. Chris's cleaning crew is top notch, the home was impeccably clean! The hot tub was super clean and so nice to sit in at night and look at the stars. Chris has thought of everything for a family to enjoy time at the beach, boogie boards, surf boards all the sand toys, beach chairs etc. The beach is a bit rocky at times depending on tides. Flip flops or tennis shoes will do for a walk on the private beach. The train passing is just back ground noise. Having the private beach out the back door out ways hearing an occasional train. Book this home, you will be the star of your family for it!

Beautiful setting but access to beach difficult.

The house and apt are great. The view gorgeous The beach access changed from last year and having a 2 year old it was very difficult to make our way down to the beach, which this year was very rocky but even more difficult making out way back up to the house with all the loose sand that was trucked in. We found a baby beach in Dana Point (a Bay Area) that we drove to everyday.
