i paid for a nice hotel because it is my daughter's birthday and I had an event to do as well. I waited in valet for half an hour just to find out that I would be my own bellhop to carry hundreds of pounds worth of stuff while simultaneously trying to maintain a two year-old and a nine-year-old. There is some kind of party going on in the lobby that seems to have taken precedence over other guests amenities. We had to walk a little further out of the way because certain elevators were blocked off for "safety of other guests", which ironically resulted in rolling over my fiancé's foot with a couple hundred pounds on a bellhop cart.
I really wouldn't consider this to be much of a big deal at all if I wasn't staying in what I was made to believe to be one of the nicest hotels that Dallas Texas had to offer.
We also requested a crib upon booking the reservation and then requested a crib again upon arrival when we noticed that there wasn't one. We have been checked into this hotel for 12 hours and we have yet to see a crib, but it is nearing midnight and... we need one.
We haven't actually slept a night yet, but so far, it's not really the service that I have much to complain about more so the complete lack there of service. It was strange to watch employees watching me, struggle with the bellhop car and two small children.
