Very handy if you have a late arrival or early departure from Christchurch . Much work being done to upgrade what was an upmarket motel so some areas still slightly tired looking . New rooms functional rather than lux . Good free shuttle from and to airport you just have to phone and they'll come get you , only takes 4 /5 minutes .

We loved staying with wonderful Margaret who made our short stay in Christchurch all the more memorable. The house was easy to find and its location was very convenient to everywhere we wanted to go. We stayed in the Balcony Room which was cosy and sweet - just perfect. Margaret is one of the most kind, selfless and warm people we have ever met! She made us feel so at home and as though we were old friends. Chatting to Margaret over our delicious breakfast was a highlight of our time in Christchurch.
Greg and sue were fabulous and couldnt do enough for us! The room and grounds
were superb and it was just like staying with family( that you like!)
a wonderful kiwi experience and set us up for a lovely trip. Thanks guys!
We chose this accommodation as we had one night between dropping off a camper van to Apollo Rentals and catching a very early flight home. Its location meant we could check in and drop our luggage off, return the camper, then walk back to to the caravan park (10 min walk - less than 1km.) We chose a standard cabin, which meant we used the shared bathroom facilities. Suited our budget. Very friendly and helpful staff - had a nice chat and offered to book our taxi for us for the morning. The taxi ride to the airport only cost $20. There are works going on nearby, so was a little noisy when we first arrived, but stopped by 5pm. Kitchen and room were well equipped and clean. Overall, very convenient as a stopover, not sure how easy it would be to get to town without transport...
Give taxis the flick when you come to Christchurch with our Christchurch Airport hotels. Whether you’re arriving late, flying out early or just want to avoid the traffic, these hotels make travelling easy. Plus, the airport is only 10km from the city, so you’re still close enough to enjoy Christchurch’s main attractions. Soak up the city suburbs or enjoy some of that New Zealand nature in the Botanic Gardens or the Willowbank Wildlife Reserve. With our Christchurch Airport hotels, it’s all up to you!
New Zealand’s third largest city, Christchurch has bounced back since the earthquakes of 2011 as an exciting travel destination with plenty of things to do. Addington is one of the funkiest suburbs on offer, with live music venues and cool cafes. Cashel Mall is becoming a prime place to grab some bargains thanks to the Re:START project helping restore a range of shops in the city.
Christchurch Airport was New Zealand’s first international airport and is now the second busiest in the country. There are heaps of things to do while you wait for your flight. Grab a coffee or some food, enjoy some duty-free shopping, kill some time in a video game arcade or cross the road to the International Antarctic Centre. At this cool-as-ice location, you can wander Antarctica without leaving New Zealand, meet penguins and take a simulated Antarctic cruise with cool 4D special effects.
A drive away from the airport is the Christchurch Botanic Gardens, where you can see the sights from a caterpillar shuttle that runs on electricity (it’s as cool as it sounds!). This place contains more than 250 varieties of roses and an archery garden. Willowbank Wildlife Reserve is another awesome spot, where you can explore the unique NZ plant life and meet the local kiwi bird.
Don’t waste your holiday money on cabs! Book some of our Christchurch Airport accommodation and a flight to Christchurch and you’ll be ready for take-off!
