Very close to Christchurch airport and handy to a training venue. Only needed a bed for night and bathroom so was very affordable and so much cheaper than hotels. Very very clean and organised. Welcoming owner and everything you can need available. Will definitely stay again.
We loved staying with wonderful Margaret who made our short stay in Christchurch all the more memorable. The house was easy to find and its location was very convenient to everywhere we wanted to go. We stayed in the Balcony Room which was cosy and sweet - just perfect. Margaret is one of the most kind, selfless and warm people we have ever met! She made us feel so at home and as though we were old friends. Chatting to Margaret over our delicious breakfast was a highlight of our time in Christchurch.
Stayed in a unit with a spa bath which sounded awesome (and was charged 180 per night). Very compact and basic considering the price. Milk in room was passed expiry and no couch -just one arm chair to relax on ( which the husband got!)
Over all it was ok... Nothing phenomenal. Was clean and tidy and handy to where we needed to be.
This is the loveliest place to stay. Close to the airport and easy to find. Sue is a very welcoming and thoughtful host. Our room was presented so beautifully with lots of extra touches and was spotlessly clean. So much space, comfy beds, fluffy towels, plenty of food and smelt lovely. There was also the added bonus of free wifi. We arrived fairly late at night after a long stressful drive and were made to feel very welcome. Our only regret is that we didn't get to meet the dog! I'd highly recommend Maples on Harewood!
We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment, 2 couples. It was small , especially the 2nd bedroom but we were only there for 1 night so didn't really bother us. Was very close to Airport, & we drove into the City quite easily, parked at the Botanical Gardens & easy walk into town. Lots of food shops close by if you have a vehicle .
Give taxis the flick when you come to Christchurch with our Christchurch Airport hotels. Whether you’re arriving late, flying out early or just want to avoid the traffic, these hotels make travelling easy. Plus, the airport is only 10km from the city, so you’re still close enough to enjoy Christchurch’s main attractions. Soak up the city suburbs or enjoy some of that New Zealand nature in the Botanic Gardens or the Willowbank Wildlife Reserve. With our Christchurch Airport hotels, it’s all up to you!
New Zealand’s third largest city, Christchurch has bounced back since the earthquakes of 2011 as an exciting travel destination with plenty of things to do. Addington is one of the funkiest suburbs on offer, with live music venues and cool cafes. Cashel Mall is becoming a prime place to grab some bargains thanks to the Re:START project helping restore a range of shops in the city.
Christchurch Airport was New Zealand’s first international airport and is now the second busiest in the country. There are heaps of things to do while you wait for your flight. Grab a coffee or some food, enjoy some duty-free shopping, kill some time in a video game arcade or cross the road to the International Antarctic Centre. At this cool-as-ice location, you can wander Antarctica without leaving New Zealand, meet penguins and take a simulated Antarctic cruise with cool 4D special effects.
A drive away from the airport is the Christchurch Botanic Gardens, where you can see the sights from a caterpillar shuttle that runs on electricity (it’s as cool as it sounds!). This place contains more than 250 varieties of roses and an archery garden. Willowbank Wildlife Reserve is another awesome spot, where you can explore the unique NZ plant life and meet the local kiwi bird.
Don’t waste your holiday money on cabs! Book some of our Christchurch Airport accommodation and a flight to Christchurch and you’ll be ready for take-off!
