Perfect location

Lovely little hotel ( esp at the price ) right on the canal and walking distance from the town centre. Room was not massive but big enough and clean. Staff were friendly Spa is a nice little extra.. only downside was that changing area could do with cleaning more regularly as there was a lot of hair on the floor, and steam sauna had plastic cups lying around. But in general it was a good. I would definitely recommend if you want a good priced place to stay close to town

The staff and position were good but we had a problem with the bathroom, nowhere to put or hang up towels etc and then the shower malfunctioned and was far far too hot but no control over cold water. had i been in the bath i would have been scalded. we were given an upgrade but even here the room had problems with the window. sad this hotel could have been top notch if they were more aware of problems in the rooms

Great location at a reasonable price

Great location for discovering Chester. Facilities are nice - but you can’t relax by the pool, a few plastic chairs only no sun loungers. Breakfast was nice although I’m not sure about pre-cooked toast …. a bit hard and dry. Nice bar area - would be nice to have a drink with a canal view.

Nice Hotel

Staff are wonderful. The hotel is 5 minutes walk into town. The room was extremely hot, window only opened slightly, no A/C The bar could do with more ambience, felt a bit like an airport lounge. Maybe dim the lights, a few plants and put candles on tables. Really annoying having to pay for parking £28 for two nights, however that seems to be most English hotels in towns. Overall I would go back.

Great location for access to the city. There has been work carried out to facelift the main area of the building which is very good however the room we stayed in is very dated. Clean but dated The staff at breakfast were very welcoming and food was excellent The car park cost £12 additional to the cost of the stay do this needs to be factored in Overall, a nice hotel and would stay again

City Break to do a Mystery Tour and visit the Zoo

Location very good. Breakfast hot buffet average, limited cold options. Our room tired and in need of air conditioning. Bar area looks modern, swimming pool a nice option at the end of a busy sight seeing day. Close to centre and bus interchange for public transport to Chester Zoo. Good safe car parking area.

Within easy walking distance of the City centre. The hotel was well run and the staff were very helpful. A very nice self service breakfast. The rooms were clean and tidy. Tha only downside was the room was warm and the bed cover had a heavy duvet in it which made it difficult to get to sleep. Once we sorted this out everything was OK. I would recommend.

We appreciated the free upgrade to a bigger room but the bathroom was still in the 90's..! The shower was either scalding hot or freezing cold and kept falling away from the holder it was on so had to practically crouch under the shower head. Apart from that it was a nice quiet 2 night stay, with shops within walking distance. Parking was safe and secure for £12 per 24 hours.
