Flights To Tokyo\n

Tokyo is famous for a lot of things: Ninja-themed restaurants (and just about anything-themed restaurants, come to think of it), geishas, fashion, anime…you name it, this city probably did it first. And if they didn’t, well, then they probably did it better. For a trip that’s always on its “A” game, holidays to Tokyo never disappoint.

Getting Around Tokyo

In Japan, efficiency is everything (well, almost everything), so you won’t be surprised at the excellent public transportation. Whether you’ve got flights to Tokyo Airport (HND) or Narita Airport (NRT), which is outside the city, the extensive Japan Railway and Metro systems make it feel like your hotel is right next door.

When You Land…

Here’s one good thing about the red eye: The Tsukiji Fish Market tuna auctions start at 5 am. It’s a “fishy” business, but someone’s gotta do it. Arriving on Tokyo flights later in the day, but can’t possibly figure out the Metro system without a power nap? Hook up with the Water Bus along the Sumida River for awesome photo ops without lifting a finger. At night—AHHH, SPIDER! Sorry. At night, head to Roppongi Hills to see the giant spider statue, then go up the Mori Tower to view the sparkling city lights below.

Live Like a Local

Did you know that sumo wrestlers train in “stables”, or that food theme parks are a thing? You would if you were a local! Catch a training session at a sumo-beya, then load up on dumplings at Gyoza Stadium. Cheese, charcoal, fish eggs and more—try some because they’re delicious, and others just for science. Wotif’s cheap flights to Tokyo leave you plenty of dough to spend on, well, dough.

Don’t let all those neon lights and shiny things distract you. Wotif has the best selection of flights and Tokyo accommodation, and you can book them together with our package deals. You should spend your time browsing for kimonos and sake instead.
