My stay at this hotel was largely enjoyable. The cleanliness and freshness of the rooms stood out upon arrival, and I appreciated having a gym available. The check-in process was quick and easy, and the staff was professional and courteous. The hotel is in a very safe location, near the police department and a hospital, which added to my comfort. Another plus was Birkdale Village, which is just a short distance away and offers casual dining, ice skating during the holiday season, and plenty of shopping options. The only reason I rated this review a 4 instead of a 5 is that someone in the hotel burned popcorn in their room. On my way to my room, I encountered a strong smell, as the guest had their door propped open to air out the odor, which also seeped into the vents of my room. I struggled to sleep at first due to the lingering scent, but it subsided by morning. Overall, my short stay was quite pleasant, and I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Huntersville and Lake Norman area.

We came back to the hotel on Saturday to find our room infested with potato bugs. When we called the front desk they told us they were lucky bugs and my husband proceeded to tell her that they may be lucky, but we don't want to bug infested room. They moved us across the hall and there were cracks and rust in the shower. The AC started making a weird noise that was really loud and when I called the front desk I was told that it needed to be reset and to turn it off and turn it back on. That fixed the problem or so we thought. In the middle of the night it woke my husband up with the same noise again. The toilet seat was also not clean and on the underside of the seat there were feces. I felt like we were being punished for requesting a new room due to the bug issue and that we were not given a comparable nice room.

Very nice hotel. Very modern decor and design. Staff was pleasant and very accommodating. Close to many restaurants and stores. Very convenient to interstates. Overall great place to stay. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Clean, nice area of town. Room was cool and clean but had issues, bathroom door did not close, lights did not work over desk area. No extra sheets, no extra pillows or blankets in the closet. People smoking around building. Staff smoking Marijuana outside hotel and gueats smoking Marijuana in fire pit areas. Children playing in workout room unattended.
