Prior to arrival, I called twice because I needed to arrive a day early for work. Both times I was assured my reservation had been updated and that I was good to go. Unfortunately, when I arrived, I was told the exact opposite. Because I booked through Expedia, the front desk said there was nothing they could do, and I was forced to pay for an additional night out of pocket. This was frustrating and completely avoidable with accurate communication.
The parking situation was another mess. We were told valet was $50 or we could self-park across the street — but no one mentioned that the garage was city parking with separate fees. When we parked there, the attendant was extremely rude and accused us of lying about being directed there by the hotel, saying we “obviously didn’t know what we were doing.” Not exactly the welcome you want after traveling.
The room itself felt outdated, dark, and underwhelming.
The only bright spot was the breakfast, which was actually very nice.
Overall, the experience was frustrating and not what I expect from Embassy Suites.
