As always, beautiful property, amazing service, kind staff and the best drinks and snorkeling on the island! Hoping they will update the rooms a bit more to fix some of the chipping paint and PLEASE add doors to the bathrooms that close and allow for privacy. Otherwise, amazing spot with the best location on Isla. We will be back again =)

We were extremely disappointed with our experience at Mia Reef Isla Mujeres. We had booked an upgraded villa room type, expecting a higher-quality stay, but what we arrived to was nowhere near what was advertised. We ended up leaving immediately after checking in — we didn’t even unpack — because the resort’s condition was unacceptable for a 4-star all-inclusive. The property overall felt neglected and run down. Outside, there was trash scattered around the grounds, broken outdoor speakers, dirty restaurant windows, and workers performing technical maintenance in guest areas. Nothing appeared clean or properly maintained. Our “upgraded” room was in even worse condition. It was outdated, dirty, and barely livable. There was a tiny mini-fridge placed directly on the floor with rust around the bottom, water-damage stains on the ceiling, broken light fixtures, stained curtains, and stained cushions on the balcony furniture. The bedding situation was also unacceptable — one queen bed and a cot for two adults and two children, despite booking a villa category. Dirt and dust were visible along the baseboards and where the walls meet the ceiling. Several fixtures, including the faucet, were rusted or heavily worn. To top it off, there were no towels in the room; they had to be brought separately. Overall, the condition of the resort felt more like a cheap roadside motel than a 4-star island property. The photos and descriptions online were extremely misleading.

There was no hot water not even warm water and the staff knew about it and made no effort to address the issue. Other guests discussed the same issue with us. JC the waiter was awesome. Tito’s is top shelf lol They did not have any domestic beer, food was mediocre. Beach area was nice.

We love going to Mia Reef but every evening there needs to be more of a variety of music played by DJ and not just Hispanic. We would have liked to have had a variety of american dance music to enjoy. Old and new

This was the most disappointing and falsely advertised hotel room that I've ever stayed in. I paid almost $400 for a deluxe ocean view room, and based on all of the pictures and the fact it was advertised as ocean view, I would've expected to see the ocean. This was not the case. While sitting on the balcony, the only thing that I had a view of was a slatted wall that hid a bank of air conditioning units. So not only did I not have a view, the only thing I heard was the loud hum of the mechanics of the air-conditioning units. I filed a complaint with Expedia on the blatantly false advertising however, the hotel refuses to respond to Expedia. My advice is not to book at this hotel. There are plenty of other options on the island where you will not be a victim of bait and switch pictures.

We love this place, the staff and location are amazing. Can't find a better beach in Mexico. I do wish they would recover all of the stairs going from the beach to the ocean, very very slippery. We could also do without the membership sales speech, it's pretty heavy used car sales and to be honest we would have bought it but the deal was just better booking online. Abby was great and understanding and in all honesty we have already rebooked to return, maybe they will sweeten the deal when we come back. There were several staff on our trip that made this vacation exceptional and they are more than worth mentioning. JC actually gets in the ocean to bring you drinks, super amazing beach front staff and outstanding service!! Efra very attentive to us at the villa. Kimberly in the buffet was super friendly and always keen to help us learn more espanol. Gabriel and Gerry are great wait staff and very attentive, always remembering our preferences before we could even sit down. Lastly Richie, our concierge was available any time if day to meet 100% of our questions and needs. Can't wait to return in 3.5 months. 100% recommend!

After many trips to Isla Mujeres, I decided to try Mia Reef. You cannot beat the direct access to the beautiful beach and snorkelling without having to leave the property. Staff - amazing Water pressure in room - amazing Beach - amazing Cleanliness of property and grounds - amazing Food - great options (including pescatarian and vegetarian) Atmosphere - relaxing and quiet and safe (music in bar played until after 10 which was loud, but once it was off for the night it was dreamy!) Activities - snorkelled right off the beach and saw tons of different fish, and loved the daily stretching/yoga on the pier Will be returning!

Amazing Views & Great Service! We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Isla Mujeres. The views are absolutely stunning — crystal-clear water, soft white sand, and beautiful reefs right next to the property. Snorkeling was perfect and so convenient since everything is right by the hotel. A special thank-you to JC, Jerry, and Angel for their outstanding service! They truly made our stay even better with their kindness and attention. Overall, a beautiful place to relax, enjoy nature, and feel taken care of. Highly recommend!

I just spent 6 days at the resort. Had the best time. Rooms were clean and the staff was amazing. Had a birthday celebration while I was there and the staff helped make my day great. The staff learns your name and your drinks and are always there to make sure your taken care of. JC was the best of the best. He Would even walk out in the water to make sure you were comfortable, his attitude is contagious and you cant help but have a great time. Highly recommend.
