La Quinta Inn & Suites - accommodation in Bowery

The check in line was ridiculously long. I’ve never seen anything like this. They need more check-in staff. You could not leave your luggage upon arrival before check-in - you had to wait in line to get a tag, which is also ridiculous. The elevators are very old, and there’s no indication of what floor you are on when they open. The size of the room was fine for two people, NY-sized. Small bathroom but full sized tub. Good hairdryer. The shampoo and shower gel were empty when we got to the room but the front desk fixed it as soon as we told them. Safe in the room was non functioning which was probably my biggest concern. No fridge although apparently you can request one for $40. Good blackout blinds. Comfortable beds, pillows and bedding. Air conditioning worked great, if not a little noisy. Walls are a terrible green color. Staff was very helpful. Ordered a dirty martini at the bar and they had no olive juice. Great location.
