Pros: Larger home with spacious, treed lot. Decorated nicely and kitchen had more pots, pans than many vacation rentals. Communication with Leena was okay and she was flexible about a later checkout time. Cons: House is off a main road, and noisier than we expected. The house is not being kept up well, aside from the decorating and basic cleaning. Upon entering, we found several dead & live roaches - some HUGE. Vents were rusty / dislocated, broken items, firepit chairs covered in bird poop, dangerously rotten back steps, stained furniture, filthy dishes, cobwebs in skylights, kitchen drawers missing knobs and drawer rails coming out so the drawer falls out when you pull it out, water pressure is intermittent in the showers. Upstairs beds are also extremely hard and uncomfortable and sheets are put directly over mattress bags (which at least keeps them clean). All in all, it was a nicely decorated vacation rental that's obviously had some cheap cosmetic remodeling done that isn't being maintained well. When we contacted Leena about the problems, her responses expressed concern and promised future action, but nothing was done to remedy them while we were there. A request for a new lightbulb that was out went unanswered. The responses felt like canned "professional" responses that express concern, but do nothing to help. For example, we told her we bought roach traps and she didn't even offer to reimburse us, just promised Orkin would be notified. Didn't help us for our stay.
