"Great value for your money and great location!!"
My sister, my kids and I loved our room! The girls didn't want to leave! Great sized apartment, yummy breakfast, very clean room. The only thing I was disappointed about was there was no toilet in the upstairs bedroom and no bath tub (something I like to enjoy away from home, as we don't have one in our house!). I had thought I had booked an apartment with a bath, but could have been my mistake! And only a small kitchen! I bought food to cook and didn't realise it was just a simple motel style kitchenette. And the only other disappointment was the outdoor spa was under renovations, where on the wotif booking site there was a not stating certain dates of some construction was being done. We had booked our stay outside of these dates and it was still under construction. It would have been nice for the kids to use as there was no pool. But, overall a beautiful place to stay with lovely, friendly staff!

"Lovely clean, comfortable, modern hotel."
We booked this hotel back in July as part of our 20th Anniversary road trip. But within an hour after checking in, a family moved into the room next door. They had VERY loud and VERY rowdy children. I called downstairs and the charming desk manager said to just leave it with him. A mere half an hour later, the desk manager came upstairs and gave us the keys to another room altogether -- and it was an executive upgrade! We were simply thrilled and we ended up adding another night to our stay. We would definitely return for another stay with this Quest hotel.

"Group of 5 enthusiastic cyclists loved this hotel"
Having arrived in Wodonga by train we were quickly en route to the hotel. Our check in was speedy and friendly. To our great surprise we were advised that our bikes could be stored in our rooms. So not problems with security. The hotel is ideally located close to the town centre. The walkover bridge from the hotel to the restaurant was an added bonus. The food and wine were excellent. We were very impressed with the local cycle route around the lake area. It was made easy with excellent signage and well constructed paths. We arranged a lift to the main rail trail at Shelley and rode 80 klm through the forest on well graded tracks mostly downhill. It was a warm, sunny day cruising through the shady forest with stunning scenery all along the route. We returned feeling a bit tired but very happy after a great ride.

    Accommodation In Albury

Whether it’s a fishing weekend or just a relaxing escape, Albury is an ideal place for a getaway. This small city in NSW sits on the banks of the Murray River, across the water from its twin city Wodonga, and has all kinds of activities, ranging from Murray cod fishing to cycling and hiking to local art and culture. Take a look at our full range of Albury hotels and you’ll have two charming regional destinations to explore in the region where NSW meets Victoria.

The Wiradjuri people are Albury’s traditional owners. In 1893, the Federation Fathers held a meeting at the courthouse in nearby Corowa to propose the Federation of Australia. Albury has a number of heritage-listed buildings, like the Soden’s Hotel bar – which opened in 1857 and is still open for business today – as well as the classically Italian-style Albury Railway Station.

    Things to do

On the banks of the Murray River, there’s a shaded walking trail and parklands perfect for BBQs and picnics. Throw a line into the Murray or explore the river by canoe or kayak. Take a trip to Wonga Wetlands, which has over 80 hectares of flood plains, decorated with centuries old river red gums. Walk around the lakes and billabongs and watch for birds. Just a 20-minute drive from Albury, Lake Hume is a beautiful massive tree-lined dam with even more fishing, as well as water sports like jet skiing and windsurfing.

In town, you’ll find the Albury Art Gallery, which is due to open mid-2015, the Albury Botanic Gardens, with its life-sized dinosaur sculpture, and the Albury Library Museum.

For a great night out, visit Albury Entertainment Centre, where you can see live music, stand-up comedy and Shakespearean plays. Follow it up by dancing the night away at an Albury nightclub.

While you’re here, be sure to visit Wodonga. It has cultural activities like The Cube and Art Space, as well as Sumsion Gardens, with its lagoon and walking tracks.

    Shopping and dining

Albury has some interesting boutique shops where you can buy things like Buddhist trinkets, teddy bears and honey. If you’re looking for a mall, you can check out Centro Albury or the local Myer Centrepoint. Albury and Wodonga’s dining options include all kinds of international food, from Thai to Indian to Mexican, as well as pizza joints, steak houses and modern cafes.
