"Pleasant surprise"
I stayed here overnight on business, what a pleasant surprise! I would never have chosen it, had it not been for the glowing reviews I read by other travellers. The entrance is in the RSL club, it's tiny and didn't set large expectations - however when I got to my room I was pleasantly surprised. Very well appointed, clean, light, airy and spacious. There is quite a lot of building noise between 7am and 5pm however I was there on business so arrived ~4.30pm and only had to put up with a bit of banging for half an hour. I left before 7 so didn't hear anything else. It was super quiet, part of the club so you can visit their restaurants however I crossed the road and enjoyed some of the fantastic Vietnamese cuisine that Bankstown has to offer. Would (surprisingly) stay again!

"Warwick Farm Holiday Inn"
This hotel is currently being refurbished and is a good to excellent standard of furnishings, facilities, cleanliness and room comfort. Staff are friendly and efficient. We had room service and were mostly very happy with the meals although the selection was quite small. Where it falls down for us is that noise transmission from room to room and from the hallway and outside is way too high for us. We could hear people talking (let alone yelling) in the adjoining rooms, the hallway noise is in no way blocked from the rooms which means that early leaving or late arriving patrons disturb our sleep, every door in the building squeaks and room doors bang when they close.

"Great Stay, simple and comfortable"
Bed was amazing, and the food\room service was also up to scratch. I've been to too many places that have overpriced food that's rubbish, and I'm, happy to say that this place is not like that. Great food, polite service, comfortable room.

So close to our daughter and her family. A truly excellent place to stay - close to all the requirements that a country visitor requires. Will most definitely stay there for our next trip to the "big smoke".

Spent 2 nights at the Quest serviced apartments at Olympic Park so we could visit the Sydney Royal Easter Show. Very convenient, short walk to restaurants for dinner, short walk to show ground entrance. Room was comfortable, clean, and of sufficient size. Sofa bed was a little uncomfortable. Will stay there again when there is something else on at Olympic Park.

Stop searching high and low for the best deal – we’ve got it right here! Book one of our Bankstown hotels today.

Named after early explorer and botanist Sir Joseph Banks, Bankstown drew a strong population following the development of an important air base during World War II. Originally a rural area, Bankstown is now home to over 180,000 people from all over the globe, who have together created a suburb as diverse as they are. Thanks to this, an eclectic range of restaurants, cafes and fast food outlets allow you to eat your way around the world without even stepping foot onto an aeroplane. The most condensed dining areas sit around Bankstown Railway Station, and along Greenfields Parade and Chapel Road. To celebrate this rich culinary diversity, Bankstown Bites festival is one of Sydney’s most savoured food festivals. If you’re here in July, don’t miss it! There are cooking demonstrations, food tours, celebrity chefs, performances and more food stalls than you can poke a fork at.

To work off that food baby, Bankstown is also home to pretty parklands and the river foreshores of Georges River National Park. Stroll along the tranquil water’s edge, take one of the bushwalking tracks, or get out on the water on a boat or water-skis. Mirambeena Regional Park is a lovely spot that’s great for picnics. For bird’s eye views, take a scenic flight from the Bankstown Airport over the city to the mouth of Sydney Harbour and all the way to the Blue Mountains! The airport is also home to the Australian Aviation Museum, for those who like a little history with their view. If shopping is more your holiday style, uncover the charming Old Town Centre Plaza, housed in a 1918 Council Chambers building – or for a more mainstream shopping experience, Centro Bankstown has all the major retail chains you’re looking for.

With so much glorious food on the menu, pleasant surroundings to wisp you out of the city and a multicultural heart that never stops beating, Bankstown is the place to stay in Sydney. It’s just 30 minutes west of the Sydney CBD – and 20 minutes away from Parramatta and Liverpool. Botany Bay, Sydney Olympic Park and the amazing beaches of the eastern suburbs are not far off either.
