Cape Foulwind

It was a wary Captain Cook that gave this unfortunate name to a beautiful place, one he couldn’t quite reach due to offshore winds.

The British explorer famously missed out on seeing how cool Cape Foulwind really is. There’s a fur seal colony viewing point along the scenic coastal walkway and orcas can be spotted too. From its headland, there are sweeping views of the rugged coastline Cook never got to visit. A cute little lighthouse now marks that spot. And then there’s that pretty little beach tucked away under towering cliffs. Cape Foulwind? More like Cape Awesome!
