Being a humble and affordable town, Cessnock is a good base for exploring the famous wineries and restaurants of the Hunter Region for those on a budget. In recent years, Cessnock has developed a respectable arts and dining scene all of its own too. With horse riding, golf and hot air balloon rides readily available, things are looking good on the fun front too.
