Room was clean and the air conditioning worked very well. The hotel is nicely updated and the restaurant was fantastic. We did not hear any planes overhead despite being less than ten minutes' drive from the airport. Staff were courteous upon our arrival and helped us schedule the airport shuttle for early next morning. There are several restaurants well within walking distance as well which are all highly rated. We would highly recommend the Melià Barajas to anyone looking for a beautiful hotel close to the Madrid Barajas airport!

The hotel restaurant charged my credit card VISA twice for our dinner $94.54 on Oct 22. They double billed me for the same meal. I assume an honest mistake. I would like Orbitz to help me have one of those $94.54 charges reversed. Thank you--otherwise the hotel is fine.

I only stayed for one night, arrived late and left early so didn’t see too much of the hotel. Room was clean, hotel shuttle was easy to find at the airport and booking for early in the morning was uncomplicated. If I have a gripe, check in was way too slow taking around 10 min and involved my being asked for a lot of UK address and contact information. My stay was less than 7 hours so this seemed needlessly prolonged and unnecessary.

The beds are extremely uncomfortable, more like a table to sleep on, our room smelled like fresh paint. The shuttle at the airport told us he was not the shuttle to our hotel, so we paid $33 flat rate taxi to get to the hotel, 5 minutes after we arrived, the same shuttle guy we saw at the airport was arriving to the hotel with guests.

This property was near the airport with the free shuttle. Note you have to book a time on the shuttle as it was packed. The staff was lovely and English-speaking as well. It's in a walkable area, very safe and quiet. I was able to get an upgraded room and early check in. I enjoyed the room, it had a large bathtub that i enjoyed using!

This is my second time staying in this hotel, I am very picky when booking any hotel but this one is very clean , very spacious and comfortable rooms , close to airports and 15 minutes in uber you be in touristy areas. Restaurant is delicious and the breakfast buffet is one of the best I had .
