The owners are so friendly and it appears that nothing is too much trouble to ensure you have a good stay. Breakfast is pre ordered and cooked fresh, one of the best breakfasts ive had! A good selection of fruit and cereal! The room is clean and comfortable. I'd highly recommend

EVERYTHING STOOD OUT!!! Comfortable, cute, lots of room and Danielle and Tarquin were beyond WONDERFUL! I had a bit if a turnaround at the train station coming in ( opposite direction) so, I was a tiny bit apprehensive ( believe me - its actually very easy walk to and from train station) going back. Tarquin walked with me ( and carried my bag) part of the way . In this day and age - you will absolutely not find kinder nor more considerate hosts such as Danielle and Tarquin!!! The guest house has MASSIVE charm as well!!! I recommend them and the great establishment they run HIGHLY! When choosing a B&B in York - look no farther. Many,many thanks to them both! Also, the story regarding how the Apple came to " be" is wonderful as well!!!!

Apple house is a delightful place to stay while at York. Staff are nice and approachable. Breakfast has a number of choices with good portions. Free parking is the biggest perk staying with them. We don't mind the 10mins walk to the city. Definitely staying here again if we visit York in the future.

This was an ideal venue for me for a four day trip. It was so refreshing to stay in a place with a bit of personality after some of the soul-less uniformity that we are more often offered. The owners are attentive but not intrusive. Lovely breakfast. It is located near the train station, so you can hear trains, but I don't mind this. Well located for buses etc but distances to most things of interest are walkable.

I had a fantastic stay at The Apple House. The hosts and staff were absolutely lovely and very helpful with anything I needed. In particular, as I have celiac disease, it can sometimes be hard finding places willing or able to accommodate for a gluten-free diet. Not so with The Apple House folks, who made sure to make me a wonderful gluten-free breakfast each morning which was delicious, filling and didn’t leave me with any problems later on. Additionally, the property itself is lovely and comfortable and was very walkable for me to both the train station and town. I would absolutely stay here again whenever I might find myself back in York.

The room was clean and the shower was really hot.Lots of choice on the buffet table. The cooked breakfast was freshly made and hot. Parking was excellent. Danielle was very friendly and made you feel welcome. As did Tarquin.The lady who brought the breakfast was happy to have a little chat when she was serving you. I would definitely recommend this hotel and be happy to stay again. Thankyou to all.
