Room was filthy and had a sketchy aroma. Furniture was old, undusted, there was grime everywhere in the bathroom, as well as debris and medical pills on the floor. Staff was rude and curt. Options for cheaper food were limited because general store was closed. No TV, no WIFI, no fridge, no microwave, and this was a DELUXE room. I would have been better off camping in the woods, it would have been cleaner with more amenities!

The property is gorgeous. The room was in need of a deep clean. Room mirror was dirty. The shower tub was gross with soap scum and a moldy shower curtain. The bed did not have a fitted sheet or a bed pad. The food was disgusting, McDonalds would be considered a 5 star compared to this. For the price you pay it could and should be better. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable.

Upon checking in, we called for dinner reservations and found out they had no availability. So we ate out of the vending machine. Lake view room was a joke, as we had a deck railing and bannister to look through for a peekaboo view.

Very disappointed in our room. For the price, it was super small, no tv and shower similar to a YMCA. I understand the luxury of staying in the park, and for that we loved it. But really NOT worth the price. Will have to reconsider if we return. Our dinner was far below expectation. Hostess was unfriendly when we made reservation. Only time available was 9:30. Lots of empty tables when we arrived at 8:45. Elk ravioli, non descript and dry; disappointing. Way overpriced.

Location on lake great but, I expected the restaurant to be average based on reviews, but sadly it was worse than that. There has no priority booking for guests so we arrived at midday and could not get a table for dinner. The best suggestion staff had for somewhere to eat was a self service canteen a small drive away. This place was awful. Burgers out of tin foil with plastic cutlery. Bear in mind we had booked a deluxe room at the hotel and gone out of our way to stay here as it sells itself as a premier location in the park and it’s not cheap. The cheaper log cabins that surround the main hotel look like a trailer park. There are loads of them, and the hotel cannot cater for the volume of people and there aren’t any other places to eat around. After eating in the awful self service canteen up the road we returned to the hotel for a drink and to enjoy the view. We stopped for one drink and went to bed. Sparkling wine and beer were served Luke warm in cheap glasses that are one step better than plastic and not clean. Sparkling wine served in a normal wine glass. In our room there is no wifi, no TV, and toothpaste spit on bathroom mirrors from many previous guests… this was a deluxe room in main hotel. Some parts of the hotel were clean and quality but the rest is a huge disappointment. It’s being run as a motel pretending to be a hotel. Any complaints bounce off staff who obviously here it all the time and do nothing about it.

Lake Yellowstone is great for focusing on nature and limiting technology. It should be noted there is no WiFi and service is very poor in the room which can make planning excursions or gps navigation difficult. You also have to make a reservation if you want to eat at the hotel restaurant. Overall, the hotel was beautiful and wildlife was outside every day!

Hotels and cabins in Yellowstone are not cheap and this place is no exception. We got a 2 doubles bedroom cabin. Most importantly it had a bathroom with shower and sink unlike other cabins. It was clean and comfy. No TV or any special amenities but then again, the whole point is to be exploring nature. The lobby and common area is amazing with bar service and live music. Dining was amazing for dinner at the hotel. I highly recommend you call at least 1-2 days in advance of arriving to get the ideal dinner time reservation because they book quickly. We ended up eating at 9pm they day of when checking in. Otherwise, staff is amazing and friendly.

I'll admit, I was a little nervous booking this "cabin". I was pleasantly surprised. Clean, comfortable and easy access to the Lake Yellowstone Hotel and nearby lodge. I did have a little problem with no TV or wifi, but really it was probably better to be without it!
