Stayed in a pet friendly cabin which was a tad bit dirty (worn), but we were there at the end of the season, so I thought it was worth the money we paid. Staff is exceptionally nice, whether checking in, or eating at the cafe. I would rate the trip excellent even with a government shut down.

Stay outside of the Yellowstone Park if you have kids. The rooms are way overpriced, no TV, they give you a fridge but no way to heat up food the only microwave was over 20 minutes away. What they do have for food is super fancy, not a lot of options, and not suited for kids!! If you just need a bed still not comfortable. It's what you expect out of $80 motel. I will never stay here for the park again for the money and lack of amenities. Also no AC so if you want to chill your room off you need to open the window which you will hear car alarms and people talking at all hours.

One of five locations in the park. Centrally located, near Yellowstone Canyon. Food selection is good but if you are looking for fancier fare try Yellowstone Lake hotel or the dining room at Mammouth Hit Springs. Accommodations and food at the Canyon Lodge were generally good especially if you have small children. Wildlife including elk, deer, and bison were ever present at this location.

Everything is great! Location is so perfect. There is a 0.5 mile trail between cabin 26 and 27 to Grand View of Grand Canyon North Rim. We hiked the trail in very early morning. So wonderful!

We had never stayed in a national park before so some things that people should keep in mind is there is no air conditioner in the room. There is no iron in the room and there is no TV in the room.

We stayed in one of the cabins at Yellowstone Canyon Lodge. We didn’t realize the cabins are connected, about 8 units to the “cabin”. The walls were pretty thin so it was a little noisy. It was nice to be in the park though. Check in was easy, staff friendly.

Great location and walking distance from the canyon! Seems to be one of the newer lodges, very clean. Only downside, no microwave. Would definitely stay again!!
