Every staff in the Canopy by Hilton Xi’an hotel is very friendly. I have a wonderful and pleasant experience from the moment I reached the hotel till checking out. All the staff always render help when it is requested. Especially, I wish to commend Ricki Wei who is thoughtful and did the necessity to ensure my family had a comfortable 3 nights stay. Thumb up to her. A great hotel with new and modern design. Clean room and comfortable bed. Excellent location with plenty of shopping and eating choices.

Rooms were large and modern and staff tried to be very helpful but English was poorly spoken. I marked it down badly due the poor sleep as the room was to hot and there was no air-conditioning available. They did move me to a room on the cooler side of the hotel and provide a fan but not great for sleeping. Internet to me is critical and it was very slow. You could pay for a premium service but given problems and need for a VPN I could see little benefit. Even as HH member, no fast internet. Barfridage was also not replenished.

My ranking was a matter of personal taste: The room was fantastic to look at, very spacious and modern with plenty of "gadgets" to turn things on and off. But watching the TV in the lower living space is perilous since the back of the couch is partly under the stairway and I really banged my head sitting back in the couch before I realized it was a huge hazard. Very painful. And the end tables seem to be set in concrete. I broke a glass watching TV which I have never done before. The floors are polished granite and beautiful, except when you slip on the in the bathroom. The kitchen table has Crome legs, but they are very angular and and easy to bump your leg into, again, very painful. Trying to figure out how the high end Rowe shower fixture work was other lesson in "this place is too modern for me". Other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how did you like the play...

The property is good with everything else but they won't turn on their AC system when the room temperature is already at 29C degree, the hotel cut off main AC so no matter what we do with the control inside, the temperature stay up, we complained but hotel says that's the way it is. I pay for a good experience, and temperature is important. for a hotel at this rate and this type of amenities, providing AC should be a requirement regardless of it is cool outside. Inside gets hot where there are multiple people in the room! what a disappointment!
