Had a lovely one night stay as a family of 4 at The Commercial Hotel. The room was lovely and very clean with comfy beds and a bath and shower. We also had our evening meal in the hotels restaurant which was also which was very tasty and reasonably priced. I would highly recommended and would definitely stay here again.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The hotel and rooms are nicely decorated and furnished. The only niggle we had was the creaky, and slightly uneven floor, in our room. But it added a quirky vibe to the experience.

Room overlooked the Main Street. There was live entertainment which went on until11pm and could be heard in our room. Then at 11.45pm the front door shutter was heard being pulled down and raised in the morning before we were even out of bed. We stayed there for just one night. The room was unexpectedly very spacious and nice. The beds were clean and large. Music from the pub was at acceptable level, not that noisy as mentioned on the reviews. But noise or sound from the next room could be easily heard at midnight and in the early morning. It’s really a matter of give and take.

Staff friendly, explained everything got you, rooms beautiful and smelt clean, had a selection of drinks and some biscuits, bed and pillows comfortable. Only issue was that the shower was very slippery and the floor when exiting the shower. Could do with a non slip mat. Would highly recommend it
