Try other Williamsburg options!

Comfortable beds, bathroom clean, toŵels/bedding clean, fluctuating shower water volume, dogs of all sizes and volumes, interrupted TV signal, breakfast menu was standard but milk dispenser/waffle mix dispenser and 1 of 2 waffle makers broken, etc. and never even a "Hello" from breakfast staff, some of whom preferred cell phone time. Certainly my most disappointing Hampton Inn/Suites stay ever. There's a renovation underway but I hope management will be visible and capable of maintaining and cleaning the "new" place.

Staff was extremely helpful and caring. At the the time of my visit I was dealing with a family death. This location has started renovating as the property is showing signs of wear and tear. I cannot wait to revisit after they are completed.

Provided the floor for a sleeping area…

We made a reservation for 3 adults and 2 kids. The room said 2 queen beds (which would not fit my family with 2 adults over 6’ and no babies/toddlers) with free optional rolling bed or cot. I figured with the extra bed it would be fine for one of the kids for one night. When we got there after driving all day, they didn’t have an extra bed for the room, and their solution was to offer us extra bedding to make a place on the floor for the 5th person. I was too tired to argue. Needless to say, my 8 year old did NOT sleep well on THE FLOOR, and after listening to him whining half the night because the floor was too hard, he ended up trying to squeeze into bed with my husband and I, which meant no sleep for me. Terrible solution provided by the front desk service rep that checked us in. Also, the rooms had an adjoining door, so they could have easily given us the adjoining room at no cost. I expect better from a Hilton owned hotel. I don’t book a hotel room for 5 people with the expectation that one will be sleeping on the floor…

The building is definitely dated and needs some upgrades. Especially in the bed department. We were in the King Suite thinking it would be an upgraded or at lease decently comfortable bed, however it felt like we were sleeping on a broken boxspring. It had the softness of the floor (to the point, we debated on buying a memory foam topper for the remainder of our stay but did not want to have to haul it back home so we did not). One elevator was out of service but they had that resolved by the second day of our stay. Breakfast was satisfying - much better than other 'free with stay' hotels in the area. Staff was incredibly nice and very professional. Would not stay again only because of the discomfort of the bed.

The room was very clean and bed comfortable. It was a little outdated but they are renovating floor by floor so we expect it will be quite up to date the next time we visit Williamsburg. The hotel staff were very friendly - we especially appreciated Mr. Bo in the dining area and Tasha at the front desk.

Unfortunately, the room wasn't very clean, especially the unwashed sheets and comforter. We did request the room to be cleaned, but they ended up using the old poop-stained comforter that was on the bed when we originally check in. We did notify the front desk three times, but the same mistake kept getting repeated so we eventually just requested a new comforter and dealt with the unclean situation ourselves. I do think that staff are trying, but quality control measures just are not in place.
