I liked the hotel a lot. I can tell the rooms had a lot of thought put into them. For example, having ample places to plug different devices in, including functional furniture, and the reclining beds were nice and very comfortable. The pool was awesome and I liked the bar and simple food menu. I also didn’t mind the communal place on the floor for coffee. Finally the hotel has a great vibe. People appeared to enjoy mingling in the common spaces.
Here is where they can use some improvements.
1. Shower water temperature should go huge then 100 degrees. That was a pretty miserable shower. It even clearly states it goes to only 100 degrees.
2. The blinds wouldn’t go up. It felt like a cave in the room and made it a bit depressing, despite all the fancy lights that change color.
3. The restaurant downstairs is way too small to book a convention of people that reserved 90% of the seating. There was no place for the regular guest to sit or we had to wait 30 minutes. Terrible! This is not good when we all have places to be at specific times.
4. When I first arrived to my room, there was a lot of trash and towels piled up by doors. It was kind of gross. Staff should periodically check and make sure common spaces are presentable.
5. Cost. The room was a little above $250 a night. Then there is the $100 incidentals fee. So that’s $600. I stayed for 2 nights. How is it that I was charged almost $900 for a two night stay?
