The room was very clean, the hotel was very easy to find and had everything we needed. Chip was very hospitable and the hotel is a quick walk to restaurants. Our only regret is that we only stayed one night. We will definitely be coming back to Vieques and plan on staying here again.

Staying with Skip and company at Casa de Tortuga was delightful. We loved our apartment with three bedrooms. It was in a nicely walkable location and close to all the attractions of La Esperanza. The pool area was beautiful and well maintained and a cool refreshing dip helped us wind down after a hot day. In addition to the loaner beach equipment, Skip gave us great advice on beaches to go to and things to do. I can’t wait to go back!

Skip, the proprietor, is fantastic and has built and runs a wonderful establishment. The Yacht Suite was perfect for our family of 5. He also allowed us to drop our bags near the pool the last day, so we could explore the local beaches for a few more hours. Highly recommend!

Parking feels safe and easy. The kitchen is not fully equipped for cooking, but it has refrigerator, toast, and coffee makers. No big deal as it is a short walking distance from several restaurants. The pool is very nice. The nice beach is also within a short walking distance. The bottom line is, you don't need a car (rental is expensive) if you would be happy with passive relaxing, sun bathing and swimming. There are plenty of taxis, if you want to see more.
