⭐️⭐️ Very disappointing and stressful stay, not worth the price We booked and paid for a beachfront villa studio (around $700 per night). At check-in, the receptionist had already started checking me in, but as soon as my 3-year-old son came in with his mum to say hello, she suddenly stopped and said we could not stay, first claiming the room was “adults only,” then later saying only two “bodies” were allowed due to “health and safety.” This was not stated on Expedia, which showed children were welcome and rollaway beds were available. We explained our child would sleep in the same bed as us, which is why we booked the larger studio (also the only room available when we booked). The receptionist was extremely rude and unhelpful, and kept changing the reason. We had driven two hours from Hamilton and were told management was “in a meeting” and we would have to wait an unknown amount of time with a tired, upset child and nowhere to go. After about 20–30 minutes, we were told another smaller room was available but only if we paid an extra $154. We felt forced to accept. The new room had two high single beds that were unsafe for a young child, so all three of us slept crowded on one smaller bed and barely slept. The beachfront view was nice, but facilities were only average and absolutely not worth $700+ per night. Later that night, the same staff member was yelling at guests and children at the pool area to get out at closing time, which was very uncomfortable.
