Have stayed here before so knew I would enjoy my stay. The staff went out of their way to accomodate my vegan diet and ensure that I had delicious meals. The room was lovely and the town and surrounding area a great place for a relaxing.
My first impression of the retreat was WOW! What an amazing location, the gardens are absolutely stunning, the room is so unique, yes it's rustic and if you love that sort of thing it is perfect! The pool is beautiful and for a cool day, a perfect temperature. Breakfast was amazing, served between 9-10 in the pavilion overlooking the beautiful gardens after this we popped into the cellar door for a quick wine tasting! I only wish we had a longer time here, would have loved to spend more time relaxing in the gardens reading and sipping wine!

First impressions were great. A beautifully decorated cottage however some areas need a little TLC. As a couple we stayed entirely downstairs and it has all the amenities one would need. A fly screen on the front door would be good so we could open up the house a little more to let it breathe without letting the Barossa flies in. A few appliances are showing their age so hopefully the owners will consider so dating these soon.
We stayed in Hideaway Cottage. A Beautiful, cosy cottage with rustic atmosphere! Wonderful breakfast platter included. Also homemade cookies, local fudge, a decanter of port, a bottle of Barossa wine to enjoy in front of the wood fire. Candles and bubble bath in the bathroom to enjoy a spa bath. Nespresso machine, local tea and cheese. Cozy bathrobes, a selection of DVDs, comfortable furniture and top of the line appliances. The cottage has beautiful views from every window; it is built between a vineyard and a large pond complete with rowboat and island gazebo for guest use. The cottage and atmosphere is so enjoyable we had a difficult time leaving it to explore the Barossa Valley. We loved every minute and wished that we could have stayed longer.
