BED BUGS! First off, at check in, they assigned us to a room that doesn’t exist. After searching for the room with no luck we returned to front desk and the other lady gave us a new room number. She gave us a double bed room when I booked a king. We went back to the desk again and she blamed Expedia saying they sent over the reservation as a double bed. I showed her my reservation and she said they did not have any king rooms left. About 10:30 at my husband finds bed bugs in his bed. We left and were told we would be refunded. We will see if that actually happens. We were supposed to run a race the next morning but after having to drive around looking for another place we didn’t get to bed til 1:00 am. Then slept horrible checking every little itch. Needless to say we didn’t make our run. This hotel ruined our trip.

The stay would have been fine. However our rooms tub was clogged thus not in service fortunately we only stayed one night resulting in missing a shower. That being said when mentioned to the desk the response was essentially meh.

I can say this, if you are coming to Springfield and are questioning where to stay. I would put up my entire savings to say the staff at this place will put the Hilton to shame. The staff alone makes this place. Don’t go get treated mediocre, when you can really see what hospitality is supposed to be like.

We got to our room, and we were only there for maybe 10 minutes and a giant roach came crawling out from under the bed. So we left. They refunded our money, thankfully, but if there are giant roaches coming out in broad daylight where there’s no food then there’s no way we’re staying there. Front desk staff was very nice though and apologized, but I just couldn’t stay there after that.

Good but don't sit in the chairs!

The room, while dated and sort of run down, was very spacious. My issue came from the chair in the living room. I woke up after the first night with a few bug bites and didn't think much of it. After the second night, I was covered from the head down, but no one else in my family was. I checked the beds for bugs and found none. After leaving, I realized the only place I went, that my other family members didn't go was the chair in the living room area. It was an older fabric chair and I do think that it must be covered in bugs. It's been almost a week since I was there and I'm still trying to get healed up from the bites, of which I had at least 30. Location and price were good though and I would stay again if they get this issue fixed.
