Liked the location, close to beach and walking distance to shopping centre..movie theatre...restaurants.
Appreciated that we did not have pressure to exit on time..as most accommodation leaving time is 11.00a.m
Especially as this was the start of daylight saving week-end.
As the weather was hot, we would of liked a small garden setting to sit in front courtyard to eat our meals.
Would like to stay again in the future. Due to the new freeway, it is a quick drive from Melbourne. Able to catch the ferry to Queenscliff. Great extra ..... of having surf /and calm waters to swim in. The local Supermarket has a great variety of good quality fresh food. Every shop owner had friendly staff, that give helpful service.
What a wonderful stay we had at Whitehall Guesthouse. I loved the old building & how they have managed to preserve its character & even emphasized it with posters & framed items. Great value too! Shared facilities were a juggle, but for back in its day.... What luxury.
We only had an overnight stay here, but we received a warm welcome from the owner, who was polite and very friendly. He was also very knowledgeable about the local area and helped with choice of restaurant for dinner.
Our online deal included continental breakfast, comprising of juice, cereal, toast and spreads, which was delivered to our room:- all fresh and tasty. Tea and coffee making facilities were already available in the unit.
The overall cost was excellent for the facilities and what is provided. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and look forward to a return visit.
