At the eastern end of Shoal Bay is the magnificent Tomaree National Park where you can visit Fort Tomaree and view the reminders of Australia’s World War II coastal defence, continue on to the Tomaree Head summit walk for a breathtaking panorama of Port Stephens and the NSW North Coast - even spot whales during the migration season.
