This place is a hidden gem. The family that runs are very nice people. It is a real bargain. It is on a busy street and close to the freeway, but not noisy at all.

Although the room decor could use an update, it was equipped with a small mini fridge and microwave which was a plus. Very quiet and located in a convenient area. The owner was so friendly and accommodating!

It was wonderful to stay at such a welcoming place. I was traveling with my elderly father who can be quite grumpy and demanding but the staff was consistently patient and helpful. I also appreciated all the little extras like free water and other goodies in the office. Next time I need a hotel in Marin, I will be staying here!

The resident owners were extremely helpful and pleasant to us. The property, while very old, was clean, with updated interiors. We would definitely recommend the Marin Lodge to others as an alternative to large corporate hotel motel/hotel chains. Our stay was surprisingly good in every way.
