I loved it here. Great buffet in the mornings — had all the right stuff, while still being pretty simple. I also noticed they use compostable wares for the buffet, but there was no compost bin (no service available, maybe?). So I’m glad they’ve taken the first step on this road. Loved the room layouts, but a kids’ bunk beds would be even better than the two queens for us. There were a few very minor maintenance things, like one of the gates not opening with our room card even though the others worked.

Always a great time in Avila!
This place is always on the top of my list for a good time in Avila. A few things to take note of...1. There is no fan in the bathroom...this seems to be something more hotels are doing recently, but it can get pretty humid, and if sharing the room with friends, not ideal. 2. If you want a two queen suite, make sure to ask for an upstairs room. We were there as a friend group and were woken up by the family above us all 3 mornings around 6am. The entire place was pretty much empty, but they put us all right together. I get this for conservation purposes, but it is not a quiet place, and everyone is on their own schedule when at the beach. The location and property is perfection, amenities are great. Will stay here again, just with a few more preferences when booking.
