Beautiful location, some small details to work on.

This is a luxurious and beautifully located hotel. Service and food were very good, although there are a number of small issues that could easily be corrected that get in the way of a 5 star review. In the bedroom, lights on both sides of the bed, please! In the bathroom, more towel rails or hooks - one towel rail in the shower area is totally insufficient. And at least one mirror in the bedroom, please! And re. the shower, who designed it so the taps/heat controls are at opposite ends of a large quasi wet room? And please more lighting and comfortable seating in the bar area - I know most people read from phones or tablets, but we were having to use the iPhone torch to read books and even the bar menu! Otherwise, we had a great stay! 😎

This is a beautiful property in a beautiful area. The staff is very welcoming and happy to assist in any way they can. The downsides exist though. The property should advise when a wedding is being held so you can adjust your plans accordingly. The gardens are inacessible, the bar and outdoor patio were closed to hotel guests aside from the wedding guests and we could not access the restaurant for breakfast the day after the wedding. It was fully booked. This hotel is set in a nature area yet there are almost zero areas to sit outside unless at the pool. There are simply no chairs out. It was such a bizarre finding for such a large property. If you are in the annex building as we were, there is a small wooden rocking seat to share amongst the entire building. Such small gestures could entirely shift the feel of this beautiful location. Lastly, the one day we could access the bar, there was no cocktail menu. Just a mocktail menu. We found this odd for such a high priced location especially is a pre-holiday time of year. There is just a slight miss with this destination. It’s not fully thought out. We would still recommend but small adjustments as noted above could make a significant lasting impression.

Stonehaven is a lovely place - comfort, peace, great setting. Staff is helpful and friendly, and they have a first-rate restaurant. It's a short drive to Ste. Agathe as well as Val David, Ste. Adele, and San Saveur for those who like to look around. There are lots of trails at Stonehaven as well. This was our second stay here.

Staff at the pool and restaurant were amazing but hotel staff especially at reception were very rude and unaccommodating for the slightest things.

Excellent experience with the hotel facilities, however, my first impression was not good as my room had not been cleaned and ready when I walked in and was surprised to see it that I was changed to another room. Besides, the introduction tour was cut short that I need to explore myself during the stay on the last day before checking out. It could be better…
