Prior to making a reservation, I called to inquire if there was any planned maintenance for the pool because honestly, it was the only reason I chose this hotel. The person I spoke to was very rude and seemed to think I was an idiot for asking, claiming it was a month away so how could he know. I reluctantly went ahead with the reservation. The check in was nice and the lady at the front desk was most helpful. She gave me the pool hours and that towels were available at the pool. The first afternoon was great and we were alone in the pool. It was nice and clean and the kids loved the slide. We went back after dinner. It was pretty busy. The following morning, we waited until 9am as this was opening hours. There were no signs anywhere. But the water in the slide was turned off and there were hoses in the pool. So the kids started swimming. A gentleman from the hotel came to see me to say he was doing maintenance and asked me to come back at noon! He said he might have to put chemicals in. I explained that check out was at noon. We were there for one night and it was the whole purpose of the trip. He was very sympathetic and turned the water back on in the slides. Within minutes, several families arrived. I totally understand the need for maintenance but you don’t do it and turn away guests on a Saturday morning. The restaurant was ok but very expensive. Room was so warm, water accumulated in the window sill. Won’t be back. Kids loved it.
