Stayed 3 nights, in Room 506 , Repeatedly asked for a new remote that actually works for TV, never got it. Even went to front desk and the guy just handed me a different one that didn’t work. Room key had to be replaced after one night bc it stopped working for door access. Unauthorized charges that are still pending and haven’t been released yet, even after the deposit was released and returned 2 days ago. Breakfast and parking was okay.

Dirty, old building. Falsely advertised pool and hottie (neither were open). Next to homeless and dirty area. Most of the staff were rude except one nice guy. Breakfast is good though with a wide variety of good options. Aggressive fees including a steep credit incidentals requirement. Wouldn’t stay here again. Not a complete horror but below average in every way. Location is next to a good restaurant and a serviceable 7-11.

Carpet had just been cleaned and was still saturated when we got into our room at night. Smoke detector was hanging from the wires. Past guests’ food remanence still on floor. Had clock alarm go off at 5:30am. Shower pan had an extreme slope and was very slippery upon entering. Toilet paper holder falling off wall. Poorly patched holes all over in walls. Had a way better experience at a cheaper hotel.

The next time I am in the Sacramento for a conference or meeting I will for sure book this particular La Quinta. The staff is super professional and nice. The room well stocked and clean. Can't beat it for a one night stay! Parking is at issue here, however. I would have liked to see security personnel in the rear of the building that is rather dark. Other than that great stay. Good job. Thanks.

Worst hotel experience.

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The room smelled of cigarettes. When I entered the bathroom the towels were covered in someone else’s body hair. The room itself was very gross. The only thing clean was the bed and I inspected that thoroughly but the mattress was horrible and very stiff. In the middle of the night multiple times someone kept knocking on our door and when we looked no one was there. The TV only had one channel working. This hotel should not be rated a 3.5. My personal rating would be a 1.75 and this place needs to be cleansed spiritually as it felt haunted. After staying there one night I will never stay at a la Quinta again or a hotel lower than 4.0 ratings.
